Alan Kennard MBE FCA was Chief Executive of the Blue Cross from 1989 – 2001. Since 2002 he has been a Trustee of SPANA (Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad).

He served as Honorary Treasurer of the Animals in War Memorial Fund.
